President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a Guard member killed last week to attend the presidential home.
He mentioned that he conversed with her parents and they were âdeeply grievingâ.

Her fellow service member, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The president stated heâs talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
âI told them: âWhen youâre ready, because thatâs a tough thing, visit the White House. Weâre going to pay tribute to her,â Trump informed reporters. âAnd likewise with him, recover or not.â

Community members assembled over the past few days at Webster County high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been working with the military unit as part of Trumpâs government program to support policing efforts in DC.
Remembering the Soldier
âSarah was the type of pupil that instructors desired. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a positive energy that inspired those around her,â Hankins, the leader of her former high school, stated to the Associated Press. âShe was caring, considerate and always eager to help others.â
Service plans for Beckstrom are in the process of planning.
Legal Steps and Government Changes
Officials have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.
The tragedy caused the administration to suspend asylum applications and temporarily stop providing entry permits to possessors of passports from Afghanistan.
Condition of Wolfe
Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, per the news agency.
He is still undergoing care and is âfighting for his lifeâ, West Virginia leader the governor said on a news program.
The stateâs top lawyer the attorney general told Fox News Sunday that she aimed to meet with his relatives.
Memory of Beckstrom
Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a military police officer with honor, as stated by the state guard.
âShe had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,â the governor informed the crowd at the memorial. âThough her life ended too soon, she has created a legacy thatâs going to be remembered always.â
