The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This results in them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
