LA Erupts in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Local events included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm welcome at the rally. Video footage from the gathering appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his speech.
The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
